What to take with you on a yacht:
A complete checklist for a comfortable trip. A trip on a catamaran is about freedom, wind in your hair, and turquoise water under your feet. But to make your vacation perfect, it’s important to pack the right things. We’ve prepared a detailed and practical list for you to take with you on your catamaran, so you don’t forget anything and don’t bring unnecessary items.
On-board amenities: What to expect
The catamaran is comfortable, but it is not a hotel. Bed linen and towels are provided (please leave them on board!).
What to take extra:
- Bring your own beach towels — they dry faster and are more comfortable.
- Toiletries: shower gel, shampoo, and toothpaste are not provided on board.
- Do not bring an iron or hairdryer — the catamaran does not have a strong electrical system for such appliances.
Catamaran power supply
- voltage: 220V, standard sockets (European, without adapters).
- Power outlets and USB ports are located in the cabin and/or at the navigator’s table, allowing you to charge your phones, cameras, and power banks.
- They only work when connected to a shore network (in a port or parking lot).
- You can charge laptops, phones, and action cameras.
- Do not connect hair dryers, irons, or kettles — too much load.
First aid kit:
- Individual medications that you take all the time.
- Basic emergency kit: for headaches, stomach upset, and fever.
- Motion sickness remedies — even if you’ve never suffered from seasickness, it’s better to be safe.
- We hope that the first aid kit will remain unused, but keep it close at hand!
Clothing: practical and weather-appropriate
- Swimsuits / swimming trunks — take 2-3 pieces. In warm countries, this is your main clothing. Always have a dry spare!
- A hat is mandatory: a cap, a bandana, a panama hat. Make sure it fits tightly — the wind on the deck can blow it away!
- Warm clothes for the evening: even in the tropics, it can get cold at night on the water. Bring: A light jacket or windbreaker (windproof).
- A thin sweater or hoodie.
Sun protection is not a whim, but a necessity
The water and sails reflect twice as much sunlight, which is often overlooked!
- Use SPF 50+ sunscreen every day, even when it’s cloudy.
- Sports goggles with UV protection and anti-reflective coating — always with a strap to prevent them from falling overboard.
- Dry shampoo and wet wipes for freshness on the road (although there is fresh water on board).
Gadgets and little things that will save your vacation
- It’s better to have a spare of charging cables and adapters
- Earplugs are useful if the generator is running or the waves are crashing against the boat.
- A small backpack is perfect for walking, beaches, and excursions.
- A power bank is useful if the sockets are busy or you’re at sea.
What NOT to take with you
Large suitcases — there’s no room for bulky luggage on a catamaran.
Instead, use 2-3 medium-sized soft bags and a compact backpack. This will allow you to store your belongings in the cabins and easily access them.
A useful tip
Pack your things 2-3 days before you leave, so you can check that you haven’t forgotten anything and avoid last-minute stress.
